‘EVEN THOSE WHO ARE AGAINST REFUGEES ARE NEVER AGAINST THEIR FOOD’

-

Chef Imad Alarnab ran three restaurants in Damascus, Syria. During the 2011 civil war, two of them were bombed, and in 2015, Imad made the decision to flee to find safety. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad cooked for up to 400 refugees at a time before arriving in London. His family were able to join him later. Imad started a series of successful charity supper clubs and went on to open a restaurant, Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, in London’s Soho. imadssyriankitchen.co.uk
