In the same way that bacon and maple syrup work well together, miso and maple syrup make a great salty-sweet combination. Mix a couple of tablespoons of each together and use as a rub for salmon illets. It also works well with chicken wings, as a glaze for roast ham or as part of a dressing for a grain and roast veg salad.
