YOUR 2023 FOODIE RESOLUTIONS

-

Are you planning a change in the way you cook, eat or entertain in the new year? Here are some of the resolutions that you’ve shared with us.

I’m cooking and baking from scratch. I’d like to be more adventurous with vegetarian cuisine, but most importantly I want to go zero-waste.

Norka Strobl, Scotland

I want to try to cook more international foods. As my 18-month-old daughter grows up, I want her to have a rounded palate and enjoy dierent flavours and tastes. We plan to celebrate an extra Christmas every year in the style and traditions of another nation, with food and celebrations that are a true representation of another culture (like being on holiday for one day, without the expense or travel delays!).

Holly Payn, Portsmouth

My resolution is to do more cooking with my husband. We both enjoy it and take turns in the kitchen. We both do shift work so aren’t always home at the same time. I think we should do more cooking together when we are home together, to make the most of our time.

Lorraine Burton, Essex

I’m totally determined to make proper pork pie. I used to make them with my baker grandpa over 60 years ago, and I’ve been threatening to make one ever since.

Liz Lee, Jersey, Channel Islands

My resolution or aim is to work on my pastry skills. I’ve really loved learning to make pastry this year and want to get better at the decorations and improve the professional look.

Clair Mcenhill, Lima, Peru

I’m going to set a goal to cook everything in my grandma’s handwritten recipe book.

Heather Wikle Gonzales, Oregon, USA
