DESIGNE R KATE CHALLIS “More than just functional spaces, bathrooms should clean us, inspire us and enable us to be the best version of ourselves. We have designed an atmospheric, moody space layered with texture. A focal point is the use of tadelakt, a traditional Moroccan method of naturally waterproofing a room. It feels and looks like velvet, creating an overall undulating chalky appearance. On this we layered surfaces such as the ceramic feather tiles in a pattern we designed only partially covering the wall while the vanity is frosted grey glass.” What luxury items did you choose for this space regardless of budget? “The tadelakt finish on the floors and walls, the feather ‘Plumage’ tiles, the bath and the wall-hung frosted glass integrated vanity and basin.” katechallis.com
