Nendo founder Oki Sato came to us and expressed that he would like to work with glass. We are proud of our collaboration with his design studio on the Melt glass furniture and object collection [3]. He has worked in an innovative way where the glass is shaping itself and the result is clean and neat,as are all Nendo works, but also innovative and mesmerising. If you look at the pieces it’s just transparent glass, but when you see the collection together and the impact it has – glass is just sitting on itself. There is no colour: it’s just simple and transparent but the result is amazing. We’re pretty confident it’s going to be a success and perceived as another example of Nendo’s approach to start from simple things and assembling them in a way that is so magical. wonderglass.com; livingedge.com.au
