The sombre and the celebratory partner up in ‘Dancing with the Dead’, a show that takes its title from the Madagascan funerary ritual of Famadihana and aligns 10 artists who reckon with endings and regeneration. This global cortège includes South African photographer Pieter Hugo, whose Portrait 16 (left) reflects on the possibilities of a generation born after apartheid, and Jemima Wyman, whose assemblage of protest imagery (above) was specially commissioned.
