Reflecting on the intimate relationship between seemingly incompatible elements of the cosmos, ‘Love letters between the rain and the fire’ is the first solo show for Lindy Lee following her major MCA career retrospective. Large- and medium-scale works on paper, timber sculptures and flung-bronze wall pieces such as Unencumbered (left) celebrate the volatile alchemy of opposites, drawing on the Chinese folklore belief that all things are interdependent, cyclical and generative.
