Watch aficionado rapt to win
Benalla’s Molly Craig was delighted to be informed she was the winner of a brand new Ouzo watch, which was presented to her at Purdeys Jewellers last week.
‘‘I was pretty excited on the phone, when he said ‘It’s Russell from Purdeys’ I said ‘ Have I won the watch?’,’’ Ms Craig said.
‘‘When he said yes, that was really exciting. I’m not a regular competition person, so I was very happy to hear I’d won.’’
The watch was presented to Molly by Purdeys manager Russell Wilson who said he was pleased with the amount of entries the competition had.
‘‘We did have hundreds of entries. The promotion was a one-off because this is a new watch brand for us and we just wanted the opportunity to supply them,’’ Mr Wilson said.
‘‘It’s a fantastic supplier and product and we just wanted to showcase it by doing a bit of a competition and giving someone an opportunity to own one.
‘‘It will hopefully create a bit of interest and a bit of market awareness.’’
Molly, who works at Benalla P-12, said the win was even better as she was a fan of Ouzo watches.
‘‘I’m a watch collector and I’m really pleased to see that they’ve got Ouzo watches, which is the brand that I’ve won, so that was really exciting,’’ she said.
‘‘I never win anything so it’s amazing.’’
