Fabulous festival looms
Rubber Soul, The Beatles Show, will perform at BPACC as a highlight of the 2018 Seniors Festival.
The Seniors Festival runs throughout October and includes 17 events across Benalla Rural City including the free Rubber Soul performance, a month-long walking marathon and the Annual Spring Social Dance.
The Victorian Seniors Festival celebrates Victorians aged 60 and over and the contribution they make to the community.
As part of the festival, public transport is free for Victorian Seniors Card holders between October 7 and 14.
Acting Mayor Peter Davis said that stopping to celebrate and recognise the contribution of seniors is important.
‘‘Take in a movie, participate in a health and fitness activity, visit an open garden or share a community meal,’’ Cr Davis said.
‘‘I encourage all seniors to get involved in one of the many activities available during the 2018 Seniors Festival in Benalla Rural City.’’
