Sadaya finished with 3/0 off three overs and was also involved in a run out. He was well supported by Matt Priest with 3/9 and Deakyn Kohler was the other wicket taker.
The run chase started solidly with Luke Dunne and Jack Fullager setting the standard for their teammates. Fullager top scored with 31 retired and captain Bode Stevens made 23.
The end result was the Bushies home by a solid four wickets.
In the seniors, A-grade had a good win against Delatite and A-reserve and B-grade were defeated.
The A-grade game was played in Mansfield at the picturesque Lords ground where Bushies captain James Carboon won the toss and batted.
He and Lee Brennan put on 29 before Brennan was out for 15. The top order batted well with Carboon making 27 and Vaughan Kirk keeping up his good form to make 32.
Under-16 player Bode Stevens also showed great maturity to finish with 27 as the Bushies were eventually bowled out in the 39th over for 159.
The game also saw the debut of two other Under-16 players in Luke Dunne and Henry Sadaya.
In response, Delatite fell eight runs short,
●finishing 9/151 off 41 overs. Brennan did a great job with the ball, taking 3/3 from his eight overs.
Kirk took a couple of wickets and Sammy Gladstone, Ryan Lloyd-Williams and Nate Abley all got a wicket each.
A-reserve lost to Rovers United Bruck in Wangaratta after batting first and making 9/98 from their 36 overs.
Simon Holmes top scored with 29 while Gurpreet Singh made 19 and Brendan Hernan 16.
RUB chased the runs, losing just four wickets. Young Jasper DeFazio was the best of the bowlers with 2/17 from six overs.
B-grade had a tough day at Milawa after the home side racked up 3/209 from its 36 overs. Leigh Wydeven and Nick Jacobs were the only wicket takers.
In response, the Bushies were bowled out for 101 with Wydeven top scoring at 37 and Deakyn Kohler making a valuable 35 not out.
This week’s games will see the Under-12s at home at Arundel St, the Under-16s away playing against Delatite in Mansfield, Under14s against Wangaratta Magpies at the Gardens in Benalla and the Under-14 combine side (Benalla/Greta) taking on RUB at Mohyu.
A-grade will play Ovens Valley United at Whorouly, A-reserve plays City Colts at the Gardens in Benalla, B-Grade will take on City Colts at the Showgrounds in Benalla and C-Grade has a bye due to the Melbourne Cup weekend.
