Sa­daya fin­ished with 3/0 off three overs and was also in­volved in a run out. He was well sup­ported by Matt Priest with 3/9 and Deakyn Kohler was the other wicket taker.

The run chase started solidly with Luke Dunne and Jack Ful­lager set­ting the stan­dard for their team­mates. Ful­lager top scored with 31 re­tired and cap­tain Bode Stevens made 23.

The end re­sult was the Bushies home by a solid four wick­ets.

In the se­niors, A-grade had a good win against De­latite and A-re­serve and B-grade were de­feated.

The A-grade game was played in Mans­field at the pic­turesque Lords ground where Bushies cap­tain James Car­boon won the toss and bat­ted.

He and Lee Bren­nan put on 29 be­fore Bren­nan was out for 15. The top or­der bat­ted well with Car­boon mak­ing 27 and Vaughan Kirk keep­ing up his good form to make 32.

Un­der-16 player Bode Stevens also showed great ma­tu­rity to fin­ish with 27 as the Bushies were even­tu­ally bowled out in the 39th over for 159.

The game also saw the de­but of two other Un­der-16 play­ers in Luke Dunne and Henry Sa­daya.

In re­sponse, De­latite fell eight runs short,

●fin­ish­ing 9/151 off 41 overs. Bren­nan did a great job with the ball, tak­ing 3/3 from his eight overs.

Kirk took a cou­ple of wick­ets and Sammy Glad­stone, Ryan Lloyd-Wil­liams and Nate Ab­ley all got a wicket each.

A-re­serve lost to Rovers United Bruck in Wan­garatta after bat­ting first and mak­ing 9/98 from their 36 overs.

Si­mon Holmes top scored with 29 while Gur­preet Singh made 19 and Bren­dan Her­nan 16.

RUB chased the runs, los­ing just four wick­ets. Young Jasper DeFazio was the best of the bowlers with 2/17 from six overs.

B-grade had a tough day at Mi­lawa after the home side racked up 3/209 from its 36 overs. Leigh Wy­de­ven and Nick Ja­cobs were the only wicket tak­ers.

In re­sponse, the Bushies were bowled out for 101 with Wy­de­ven top scor­ing at 37 and Deakyn Kohler mak­ing a valu­able 35 not out.

This week’s games will see the Un­der-12s at home at Arun­del St, the Un­der-16s away play­ing against De­latite in Mans­field, Un­der14s against Wan­garatta Mag­pies at the Gar­dens in Benalla and the Un­der-14 com­bine side (Benalla/Greta) tak­ing on RUB at Mo­hyu.

A-grade will play Ovens Val­ley United at Whorouly, A-re­serve plays City Colts at the Gar­dens in Benalla, B-Grade will take on City Colts at the Show­grounds in Benalla and C-Grade has a bye due to the Mel­bourne Cup week­end.
