Dazzling day

The sun arrived on cue and Benalla was out in force to enjoy the closing weekend of this year’s festival.

The big two events on Saturday were packed with smiling faces.

The Benalla Festival Street Parade was spectacular as always, and at its conclusion crowds headed for the Village by the Lake.

With everything from live music to interactive shows, food, drink and much more the Village by the Lake was a well-planned and inclusive event.

OzRock Express had a great reaction as they kept the crowd dancing and singing along to some Aussie rock classics.

Saturday night concluded with spectacular fireworks. Sunday was more relaxed with many locals and visitors enjoying A Day in the Gardens Market.

At 10.30 am a special service was held to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I.
