Sex of­fender sought

A con­victed sex of­fender is on the loose and might be in or around the Be­nalla area.

Reg­is­tered sex of­fender Christo­pher Em­pey has re­moved a GPS bracelet, which was lo­cated in Baddagin­nie.

Vic­to­ria Po­lice have put out a me­dia re­lease seek­ing pub­lic as­sis­tance to find Mr Em­pey.

The 46-year-old is re­quired to wear a GPS bracelet at all times. The wear­ing of this bracelet is part of his obli­ga­tions un­der the Se­ri­ous Of­fend­ers Act.

Po­lice be­lieve that Em­pey may be in the Mans­field area, how­ever, they have been un­able to find him at this time.

It is be­lieved Em­pey may be rid­ing a yel­low 2005 Suzuki DR650 mo­tor­cy­cle regis­tra­tion GD531.

Any­one who sights Em­pey is urged to phone triple zero (000) im­me­di­ately.
