Benalla P-12 College teacher Rebecca Pell has farewelled students as she moves onto her next chapter.
Ms Pell, who has been with the P-12 College since 2010, is set to move back to Bendigo where her family resides.
‘‘I never thought I would leave, I love the school and the community,’’ Ms Pell said.
‘‘However, the pull to go home to be closer to my family has got a lot stronger.
‘‘My sister has a little baby and I adore him and wanted to be closer to him.
‘‘And then an amazing opportunity came up at a school in Bendigo.’’
The final weeks of school proved to be emotional for Ms Pell and her students who said their goodbyes.
‘‘There has been lots of tears and there will be plenty more this week,’’ Ms Pell said.
She also had one last parting message.
‘‘My parting message for the students would be to believe in themselves, to continue to work hard and do it for themselves,’’ Ms Pell said.
‘‘Work hard and set your goals high just for yourself.
‘‘I wish them all the success in the future.’’
