Residents enjoy day out

Male residents of Estia Health Benalla (pictured left) enjoyed a ‘‘boys’ day out’’ at Benalla Golf Club last week.

An Estia spokesperson said the group headed out for a few beers, lunch and a good-old yarn.

“The men enjoyed the company of Estia’s male volunteers Brad, Peter and Keith, who actively run regular men’s group sessions within the home,” the spokesperson said.

“Estia Benalla is in the process of developing a Men’s Shed, an area for the men to get outside and busy with their hands fixing and creating things.

“Volunteers Brad and Peter have donated a lot of tools and come in and assist the men with these projects.

“On returning home from their golf club luncheon, everyone had a big smile on their face and a full belly.”

Resident Nevan said he could not fault the meal and it was an absolutely fantastic outing.

Resident Trevor who is a former golfer at the Benalla Golf Club said it was great to catch up with his old golf buddies and be back at the club.

Estia Benalla provides regular outings for their residents, who always enjoy supporting local businesses and sightseeing in the area.
