Estia embraces Daffodil Day
Residents and staff at Estia Health Benalla embraced Daffodil Day on Friday, August 27.
Daffodil Day is a chance for Australians to come together and show their support for the Cancer Council of Australia and the work it does funding cancer research.
In 2020, Daffodil Day Appeal raised almost $1.5 million for life-saving cancer research, but looked a little different.
Despite a global pandemic, Australians still dug deep and donated online to show their commitment to a cancer-free future.
“It was a bright and colourful day at Estia
Health Benalla as the team and residents embraced Daffodil Day,” an Estia spokesperson said.
“Raising awareness about cancer was achieved as residents were able to share their stories on ways cancer has touched them in different ways.
“The craft group made daffodil bookmarks, which were given to each resident to enjoy and a creative display of daffodils was made, which is very fitting coming into spring.”
It is not too late to donate to Daffodil Day, which can be done by visiting www.daffodilday.com.au and clicking ‘donate’.
