Goorambat playground opens

If you’re looking for a kidfriendly day out why not pop along to Goorambat’s silos and let the little ones play on the town’s new playground.

“The Goorambat Hall has just had its fabulous new playground installed,” Goorambat Silo committee member Anne Marie Greenway said.

“And we also have the Diggers Wife Cafe, which is open every morning.”

The new playground was funded by generous donations from local residents, a grant from Tomorrow Today, and funding from NEOEN, which is installing the towns new solar farm.

“All the installation work was undertaken by qualified locals last Saturday (September 18),’’ Ms Greenway said.

“And the playground was in use by tourists by Sunday morning.”

Goorambat is the first stop on the North East Art trail if you set off from Benalla, and with restrictions eased there has never been a better time to get out and support communities in the north east.
