Church to open op-shop
Benalla’s newest op-shop will hold its grand opening on Saturday, October 9.
The shop will be owned and operated by the Anglican Parish of Benalla on the grounds of the Rose City’s historic Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Arundel St.
Shop volunteer Susan Mann said the Anglican Parish of Benalla incorporated Holy Trinity in Benalla, St Aidan’s in Swanpool and St Paul’s in Goorambat.
“(We are) proud to announce the opening of our Shop, ‘The Second Chance Opportunity
Shop’,” Ms Mann said.
“The proceeds of this shop are designed to support and expand the church’s ministry work within the parish.
“When taking your Saturday or Sunday afternoon stroll down leafy Arundel St, you will be able to pop into the old church hall to enjoy browsing amongst our quality goods and exchange a friendly smile with our volunteers.”
The op-shop will stock a range of pre-loved goods including: • clothing for newborns to adults;
• shoes and handbags; • manchester;
• modern and antique china;
• crystal ware and handcrafted items;
• kitchen ware;
• books and toys; • ornamental bric-a-brac, plants;
• and much more.
Ms Mann said all donations would be welcomed.
“However, we will be requesting that you make prior arrangements for delivery of your donations by contacting me on 0468 169 198,” she said. “We look forward to meeting happy bargain hunters in Benalla.”
● The op-shop will be open 10am to 4pm Saturdays; and 12pm to 4pm Sundays.
