Roads only for those experienced

-

After a lovely lunch at the Tatong Tavern — now under new Management, I drove back along the Tiger Hill Rd via O’Deas Rd.

No four-wheel drive required, a lovely scenic route, I understand that this is a gazetted through road, however, after torrential rain, this road can become somewhat treacherous, as most people who live on our local dirt roads, often in rather remote areas, are aware of.

Council does a good job of trying to maintain these roads, (far better than the Macedon Ranges area where I used to live — a rather more financially influential place, some of the dirt roads were a very rough ride).

A recommendation is that only experienced drivers undertake some of our rural dirt roads and for residents, who choose to live in remote areas, most are aware that council do their best.

Honesty appreciated

A big thank you to the school students who found my mobile phone near the skate park on Tuesday, February 1, and handed it in to the police station.

It contained some precious family photos, which I would have lost forever.

So a very big thank you — much appreciated.
