St Joeys marks Feast Day and start of school year
On Friday, March 18, St Joseph’s Primary School celebrated St Joseph’s Feast Day and the beginning of school year mass.
Deputy principal Leigh Symons said to help celebrate this special occasion, Bishop Shane Mackinlay led a whole-school community mass with parish priest Father Vjay.
“Our 2022 student leaders were inducted into their captain and vice-captain positions,” Mr Symons said.
“And we had a formal welcome to our foundation students, which (included) their Year 6 buddies.
“After mass, students set up a school mini fete.”
All proceeds from the fete went towards Caritas, which is a Catholic charitable organisation that supports the less fortunate in the world.
