BBC Club Championships – Mixed Pairs Finals – Monday, April 4

After some delays the Mixed Pairs Final was played between Karen Nicholls and Ian Hobson and Darren Salan and Sharon Warfe. As happens with so many games the final score did not reflect the quality of the game. In a low-scoring game by the 9th end Darren and Sharon were leading 6/4 but they gradually drew away. An excellent game with great skill exhibited. The audience appreciated the standard of the bowls shown by all players involved.

Junior Singles Championship – Friday, April 8 Another championship delayed because COVID-19, but Alex Briggs and Jordan McAndrew played this final in the rain for most of the game. They stayed on the green until the final bowls. Although a strong win by Jordan, Alex also showed his skills.
