This hardy, frost-tol­er­ant veg is more del­i­cate and sweeter than curly kale.

Team with beans, beet­root, cel­ery, cu­cum­ber, onion, rhubarb, sage, dill, chamomile, marigold and nas­tur­tium.

From seed in seed trays in March or April. Plant 4–6 weeks later (May or June). Space in rows 50–100cm apart.

Har­vest in 7–9 weeks.
