Fringe tree

Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Flower Power -

Just as the fresh, bright green leaves appear, the pretty fringe trees burst into masses of drooping, pure white, long petalled flowers. There’s an east-asian species and one from the south-east US, both similar in appearance and needing fertile soil and regular rain or water. The American species, Chionanthus virginicus, grows a little larger, has lightly fragrant flowers and takes lower winter temperatures.
