Pompon tree

Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Flower Power -

From southern and eastern Africa, the pompon tree adapts well to Australia’s similarly mild climate. The flowers, little spheres of starry pink blooms that open from lollipop-like buds, appear in late spring and their remains, which dry hard, are decorative enough to use in arrangements. Early pruning lets you grow them as multi-stemmed shrubs or as short single-trunked trees. Prune straight after bloom.
