Overnight por­ridge

Feed­ing a crowd? Put this por­ridge on to cook just be­fore you go to sleep and wake up to brekkie done.

Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Slow Cooking -

Prepa­ra­tion time 10 mins Cook­ing time 8 hours Serves 8

2 cups whole­grain steel-cut oats 1 tsp ground cin­na­mon

1L milk

1L wa­ter

2 ap­ples, un­peeled, cored

and roughly chopped Brown su­gar, nuts, yo­ghurt

and fresh fruit, to serve

STEP 1 Put all in­gre­di­ents in the bowl of a 5L slow cooker.

STEP 2 Stir to roughly mix to­gether, then place bowl in ap­pli­ance. Cover with lid and cook on the low set­ting for 8 hours. STEP 3 Re­move bowl from ap­pli­ance and re­move lid. Serve with su­gar, nuts, yo­ghurt and fruit.
