WOODEN BEADS

Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Better Craft -

Gather your supplies

• Plastic tub

• Gloves

• Dye bath

• Metal spoon

• Wooden beads

• Non-porous bowls

• Leather cord

Here’s how

STEP 1 Place wooden beads into dye bath using a metal spoon.

STEP 2 The beads will float and you will need to push them down and turn them over using the spoon.

STEP 3 If you are after a half-dyed bead look, let them float without turning. The beads will become darker the longer they are in the dye bath (once the beads are dry they will be lighter in colour).

STEP 4 Spoon the beads out of the dye bath and rinse them in water until the water runs clear. Leave the beads in an airy spot to dry. String beads on cord.
