Easy step-by-steps to your PALLET PLANTER
Give a pallet a paint job and use it to grow blooms and show off cut flowers from your garden (or the florist’s, shhh). Search online trading sites for pallets to buy – you may even get them for free!
Gather your supplies
• MDF
• Timber pallet
• Glass jars
• Plants and cut flowers
You’ll also need
Jigsaw; pencil; paintbrush; paint; hammer; nails; plastic sheeting; staple gun; potting mix; wire
STEP 1 Cut out a half-heart shape from MDF using a jigsaw. Use template to trace a heart on front of pallet.
STEP 2 Paint heart on pallet with a brush. Let dry.
STEP 3 Mark jar positions, then hammer in nails.
STEP 4 Line pallet top with plastic and staple to secure. Fill with potting mix and plant up.
STEP 5 Wrap necks of jars with wire and hang on nails. Fill with water and add cut flowers.
