MORE HANGING PLANTER IDEAS

-

1 Give an old satchel new life as a hanging planter. Treat it with a waterproofing spray and fill with potting mix or simply use it as a sleeve for potted plants. Hang it anywhere – on a wall, door or under the pergola.

2 Plastic bottles also make great planters for a hanging salad garden. Lay the bottle on its side and cut a piece, like a window, out of the body, and punch a few drainage holes beneath. Fill with potting mix and plant up with seedlings. Leave the caps on so mix doesn’t escape. Wrap coloured twine around bottles and secure with dabs of hot glue, then string into a chain for hanging on a wall.
