Small terracotta pot Pot sealer

Red acrylic paint Black acrylic paint Copper tape

Paintbrushes: drop sheet; painter’s tape; scissors

Save money by using sample pots of acrylic paint.

Here’s how

STEP 1 Spread drop sheet on work surface. Spray inside of pot with pot sealer. STEP 2 Using a brush, apply a coat of red paint. Allow to dry, then follow with a second coat.

STEP 3 Run 2 lengths of painter’s tape around pot, to mask off the belt band.

STEP 4 Paint section between tape strips in black. Allow to dry, then apply a second coat. Carefully remove tape while paint is still tacky.

STEP 5 Measure and cut 4 lengths of adhesive copper tape to form belt buckle.

STEP 6 Peel backing from copper tape strips and carefully position on pot to form square buckle.
