Gather your supplies
Small grey or stone pot Pot sealer
White acrylic paint Kitchen sponge-scourer Felt pen
You’ll also need
Paintbrush; painter’s tape; Stanley knife; drop sheet; plastic plate; plain paper
FOR YOU TO NOTE
You can also use your Christmas-tree sponge to decorate plain wrapping paper.
Here’s how
STEP 1 Spread drop sheet on work surface. Spray inside of pot with pot sealer. STEP 2 Run a strip of painter’s tape just below pot collar, then use a brush to paint collar white.
STEP 3 Use a felt pen to draw Christmas tree onto kitchen sponge.
STEP 4 Using Stanley knife, carefully cut out tree shape, leaving scourer section of sponge intact.
STEP 5 Fill plastic plate with paint, dab sponge into it, and blot onto a piece of paper to remove excess.
STEP 6 Press sponge onto pot, using a gentle rocking motion to transfer paint. Repeat process to add additional tree shapes.
