Paper punches come in a broad range of shapes and are a fun way to decorate your festive cards.
Gather your supplies
• Blue A4 paper board • Red ribbon
• Silver glitter cardstock • Gold marker pen
You’ll also need
Self-healing cutting mat; metal ruler; craft knife; scissors; glue stick; star punch
Here’s how
STEP 1 Lay blue board on cutting mat and cut in half with craft knife, using ruler as a guide. Fold one piece in half
to make card. Draw 10 narrow, evenly spaced rectangles in pencil across the bottom of the card. Cut out with knife.
STEP 2 Leaving tails, weave 2 lengths of ribbon through cut-outs, working from centre to the left and right. Turn over card and cut off excess ribbon.
STEP 3 Glue ribbon ends to back of card. On front of card, tie ribbon tails into a bow and trim ends.
STEP 4 Make 3 star cut-outs from glitter card and glue to card front.
STEP 5 Use gold marker to draw a string and bow hanger for each star.
