Signs of a good exam

A yearly skin check from a dermatologist is a must. The exam takes time. It shouldn’t be a quick glance and it needs to be detail oriented. You should be wearing a gown so the dermatologist doesn’t miss anything. They should methodically examine your scalp, between toes, your nails (don’t wear nail polish) and also check your genital area.
