DIY SAW GUIDE
Don’t buy an expensive track saw to cut dead-straight lines through sheet materials – make this easy DIY guide for your circular saw! 1. Glue and screw a thin strip of 12mm plywood to a wider strip. Use the factory edge of the plywood on the thin strip and offset it so there is 150mm to the edge of the wide strip. 2. Set your saw to cut 15mm deep and put it on the guide so the edge of the widest part of the baseplate is against the thin strip. Run it along the guide to cut off the edge of the wide strip. 3. When using the guide, simply align this cut edge with the cutting line on your timber, clamp, then run the saw along it. Too easy!
