Scrap pieces of MDF and thin ply; pen­cil; ham­mer; nail; marker pen; jig­saw; router with guide bush­ing, 15mm straight cut bit and cham­fer bit; screw­driver; drill; 2 and 5mm drill bits; hot-glue gun; very fine sand­pa­per; quick square; cir­cu­lar saw; PVA glue; nail gun and nails; coun­ter­sink­ing bit; cloth; un­der­coat; black paint; paint­brush; 40mm screws; 18mm pan-head screws; clear var­nish FOR YOU TO NOTE When us­ing power tools, wear all safety gear re­quired and re­fer to your prod­uct in­struc­tions.

Here’s how

STEP 1 To cre­ate hous­ing in the desk for the wire­less charger, you need to make a tem­plate for your router from scrap MDF. First, draw a line across the cen­tre of the MDF then a sec­ond line per­pen­dic­u­lar to this and 80mm from 1 long edge.
