AWASH WITH BLUE
Breathe new life into your bathroom, be it coastal or period in style, with a breezy palette of blues from soft shades of sky through to teal, denim and navy. If you prefer going down the nautical route, complement these colours with pops of red, otherwise punchy pinks, oranges or yellows will more than hold their own.
SET THE STAGE
Position a freestanding bath on a raised platform and it will become the centrepiece of your bathroom. If you’ve got the space, this raised dais can be of deck-like dimensions, otherwise a narrower plinth step-up will do the trick.
BRING ON COLOUR
Having left behind the retro pink, mint and avocado bathroomware of yesteryear – today white rules. That’s not to say coloured baths are a no-no. Modern tubs come in a range of gorgeous hues limited to the outer casing.
SPLASH OUT FORGO TILES REACH OUT Pretty up a fresh white shower curtain with blue edging. Consider marine ply wall panelling and go tile-free close to a freestanding bath. A stool comes in handy as a spot to rest tea or ‘shampoo’
