HOW TO EDGE MELAMINE BOARDS

Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Savvy Storage -

STEP 1 Cut a strip of edging slightly longer than your piece of board. STEP 2 Hold against the edge so it overhangs equally at the sides. Cover with a cloth, then run a hot iron over it to melt the glue on the edging. While warm, run a block over it to make sure it’s firmly stuck to the board. Leave for 30 minutes for the glue to set.

STEP 3 Use a razorblade scraper or fine file to trim off edging flush with the board. Work towards the board so you don’t pull the edging off. Finish with a very light sand on the edges using 180-grit sandpaper.
