All zones: Alyssum, anemone, hol­ly­hock (top left), marigold, pe­tu­nia, por­tu­laca, salvia, ver­bena and zin­nia.

Zones 1-3:

Celosia, dianthus, he­lichry­sum, ra­nun­cu­lus and tore­nia.

Zones 4-6: Cal­en­dula, corn­flower, gail­lar­dia, Ice­land poppy and wall­flower (left).

VEG­ETA­BLES

All zones: Beans, broc­coli, cab­bage, cau­li­flower, chives, leek, let­tuce, radish, spring onion, sweet corn.

Zones 1-3: Basil (top left), beet­root, cap­sicum, chilli, egg­plant (left) and potato.

Zones 4-6: Beet­root, Brus­sels sprouts, cu­cum­ber, pars­ley and parsnip.
