Better Homes and Gardens (Australia) - - Bathroom Revamp -

Here’s how

STEP 1 Measure distance from floor to ceiling. To find the length of the dowels, deduct 214mm to allow for the legs and top and bottom rails. Cut to length using mitre saw or sharp handsaw and mitre box.

STEP 2 Mark top and bottom rails for centre of dowels. Make first mark 35mm from one end, then space them 70mm apart. Pre-drill then countersink rails for screws.

STEP 3 Pre-drill dowel for screws through centre of ends. Apply glue to one end of each dowel.

STEP 4 Butt dowels into base rail. Screw through rail into dowels using 65mm screws to secure. Glue and screw top rail to other end of dowels.

STEP 5 Attach furniture feet to base rails using supplied screws.

STEP 6 Apply 2 coats of clear varnish to screen. Allow to dry and sand lightly between coats. STEP 7 Position the screen and pre-drill through the top rail into the ceiling. Move the screen and insert Wallmate fixings into holes in ceiling. Reposition the screen and screw through the top rail into Wallmates. Adjust feet so they are tight against the floor and the screen won’t move.
