Finished size 37cm diameter, 5cm wall

Here’s how

STEP 1 Cut two 37cm diameter circles from fabric for cushion front and back. Zigzag stitch around all edges. Cut one 8 x 126cm strip for cushion wall panel.

STEP 2 Leaving 10cm at the beginning unsewn and with right sides together, join the wall panel to cushion back with a 2cm seam (long edge to round edge). Gently ease the fabric and follow the curve as you go around. Leave another 10cm unsewn at the end.

STEP 3 Measure and mark join for the wall panel, then sew these 2 short sides together. Finish sewing the cushion back and wall panel.

STEP 4 To insert the zipper, refer to How to sew a cushion zipper (pg 173) and insert zipper into the length of the seam.

STEP 5 Ensuring zipper is open for turning through and with right sides facing, pin cushion front to wall panel, then sew with 1cm seams. Turn inside out through zipper opening. Fill with cushion insert.
