Ideal for all thumbs is the easy-install Wally Gro Eco Planters vertical garden system (wallygro. com). To avoid warping the fence, aach horizontal boards to the posts, secure brackets evenly along boards, then hook each planter on a bracket. Simple! Four rows of eight planters were used here.

• Erect a sturdy timber fence, painting or staining it either a dark charcoal or brown.
