EASY STEPS TO YOUR DROP SHEET CUSHION COVER

Gather your supplies

• Square cushion insert

• Canvas drop sheet

• Masking tape in 3 widths

• Artist’s acrylic paint

• Textile medium

You’ll also need Fabric scissors; paleƒe; foam paint roller; pressing cloth; iron; sewing machine; pins; jeans needle; thread

Here’s how

STEP 1 Measure cushion insert, adding 3cm to the width and 13cm to the length (to allow for the 10cm envelope overlap), then cut fabric.

STEP 2 Use masking tape in different widths to mask off your stripes. You can find examples of grain sack fabrics online to copy the stripe paƒern.

STEP 3 Mix artist’s acrylic paint with textile medium in a paleƒe, according to product directions.

STEP 4 Load a foam roller lightly with paint mixture and roll over masked-off paƒern, pressing gently to distribute paint onto fabric. Let it sit for a few minutes, then carefully remove tape while paint is still tacky.
