Every family has its own Christmas traditions and, a er a turbulent year, I have a feeling we’ll all find great comfort in the familiar routines of preparing for our festive days ahead. It’s certainly the case for me. As the BHG team began testing and creating their baked goodies and delightful cra , I could feel my anticipation and excitement growing for the gi s and decorations I wanted to make – the gingerbread vintage ute, a chocolate reindeer cake, gorgeous floral crown and all (both page 36), plus heavenly clay angels and beautiful baubles (from page 152).

We also have plenty of non-festive inspiration in this issue. The feature on lilies (page 66) and ways to encourage buŒerflies to flirt with your garden (page 80) had me afluŒer, as did the striking decorating ideas (page 40). Then there’s the bedroom with DIY geometric feature wall (page 122) and a tiny laundry (page 118) packed with practical solutions to make your wash day blues a thing of the past. It’s no wonder

I’m such a big fan of DIY. Enjoy!
