SO WINGƒ YOURƒ SEEDS

-

• For a large crop, fill seed tray with seed-raising mix, make a dip in each compartment and sow seeds to depth indicated on seed packet. Cover with vermiculite to ensure good drainage and aeration. Spray with water from a trigger bole. Put in a sunny, warm, protected area and cover with a clear plastic lid or plastic wrap. Keep mix moist but not soaking – too much water can drown seeds. When seeds germinate, remove cover to harden up. Sow in the garden when at least four true leaves emerge.

• For small crops, and to reduce the trauma of poing up seedlings, plant your seeds directly into biodegradable peat or coir pots. Follow directions for seed trays. A€er germination, plant directly into garden. The pots break down.
