THAT’S COSMOS

Create a festive blaze of Christmas and New Year colour by sowing lots of cosmos seeds. One of the happiest-looking annuals about, cosmos, with its daisy-like flowers on long, slender stems, is just too good to ignore. Wonderfully prolific, it comes in bright pinks, oranges, reds, yellows, maroons and white, copes in a range of conditions and blooms for months on end. A packet of seeds costing a few dollars can create a priceless display – and, once it’s over, collect seeds for a free display next year.
