screw together using 50mm screws. Repeat to a ach second side to the other end of the front.
STEP 2 Sit front and side base supports (C & D) on inside of counter assembly at the bo om. Predrill and screw through sides and front into base supports. Spread glue on top edges of base supports, sit base (E) on top and screw down.
STEP 3 Spread glue on
1 long and 1 short edge of divider (F), sit on base and bu into front. Predrill and then screw through the front to secure.
STEP 4 Spread glue along top edges of counter assembly and sit top (G) on. Predrill and screw down through top.
STEP 5 To protect floors, stick lengths of adhesive felt to feet (H) then predrill and screw to counter corners.
STEP 6 Apply 2 coats of clear varnish to inside of counter. Dry aer each coat.
STEP 7 Cut timber for posts (I) and raers (J) with a mitre saw. Angle at top of posts and ends of raers is 31. The distance from the angled cut at one end of the raers to the angled cut at the other end is 605mm.
STEP 8 Lay posts and raers on your bench so the perpendicular distance from posts to end of raers is 110mm, then lay timber for braces (K) on top to mark the angles before cu ing with a circular saw. Glue, predrill and screw pieces together using 100mm screws. Leave glue to set. STEP 9 To remove sharp

sand the top and edges between coats. Sit benchtop on counter, then predrill and screw up through top of counter cabinet using 25mm screws. STEP 15 Undercoat and paint 1 face and edges of roof panel (N) in Fairy Wings. Sit roof panel on raers so it overhangs at the boom by 60mm and by 35mm at each end. Clamp to hold, then screw in place. STEP 16 Use a circular saw to cut 150mm wide strips off

the end of the decorative panel for roof shingles (O). STEP 17 On top of roof panel, screw roof baen (P) along boom edge so the first row of shingles is on a slight angle. Use 16mm screws. Sit first row on top, predrill along top edge of shingle and screw down into roof panel. You will need to cut strips and join them along the roof as roof is wider than panels. Use the offcut of 1 strip to start the next row of the same colour. STEP 18 Continue laying rows of shingles, alternating colours. Overlap the row below by about 20mm.
STEP 19 Spread a thin bead of construction adhesive on the inside of the angle of ridge capping (Q) and glue in place along top of roof. Hold barge boards (R) against sides of roof. Nail in place.
STEP 20 Spread construction adhesive on the front face panel (S) and press against front of counter. Prop under to hold in place while glue dries. Do the same with the large and small side face panels (T & U) on either side of counter.
STEP 21 Spread construction adhesive on inside of corner cover strips (V) and sit over front corners of counter. Use masking tape to hold in place while the glue dries.
STEP 22 Cut corners off blackboard backing panel (W) using a jigsaw. Make curves on cutout with a 70mm radius. Run the trimmer around the edges of the panel to put a chamfer on them.
STEP 23 Also cut the corners off the blackboard (X) in a 65mm radius. Undercoat and paint using chalkboard paint.
STEP 24 Hold blackboard backing panel on front of counter, predrill and screw in place. Put strips of double-sided tape on back of the blackboard. Spread construction adhesive between them. Align blackboard with the backing panel so it sits centrally, then press in place. The tape will hold the blackboard as the glue dries.
