You can use exposed brickwork to add texture, and timber for warmth. Wall lights, especially on extendable arms, really suit the look. Build a bespoke cubby for the end of your island for display-worthy storage such as a wine rack.

GALLEY STYLE What it lacks in size a galley kitchen makes up for in efficiency. Floating shelves and cabinetry use up your dead wall space without adding bulk, while a dishwasher means one less cabinet but eliminates sink clu er or the need for a drying rack. Simple, streamlined and storage savvy. Go for a stainless steel fridge and dishwasher to work with the industrial vibe. Match your kickboards to benchtop to anchor your cabinetry.
