TOP TIPS FOR WORKING WITH RESIN
1. Make sure you wear the correct protective gear. Gloves and glasses are a must and a layer of moisturiser over the arms will seal the pores, protecting your skin.
2. Resin ingredients can crystallise during cold weather, making it go cloudy. Heat it up to about 40° or 50°, until it is clear, then let it return to room temperature before you start using it.
3. Check your product before mixing to see whether you measure the two parts by weight or by volume. The same volume of the materials may have different weights, meaning ge ing the mix wrong could cause failure. 4. Don’t mix up too much resin. The greater the volume you mix, the more heat it will generate, reducing your available working time, meaning the product might set before you want it to. Check the product instructions carefully. 5. Be aware that low temperatures extend se ing times. Try to keep the resin above 20° to help you achieve the best results.
