The real risk It’s natural for anyone who finds themselves at extreme and dangerous heights to feel scared, but if you experience fear when you’re a few steps up a ladder or being on the top floor of a secure building, it can be debilitati­ng.

Face it down There are a few easy techniques you can use to face this fear head on. Gradual exposure, for one, is a great way to desensitis­e yourself to the trigger, as is mentally preparing yourself prior to being in a fear-evoking situation, thinking rationally about where you are and practising relaxation techniques.
