SHARING YOUR HOME WITH PETS?

-

Check out these tips to keep it clean and smelling fresh With more than 29 million* pets in Aussie households, that’s a lot of fur to sweep up – and they don’t li‡ a paw to help! But our furry friends are worth every scrub. • Despite a ‘no furniture’ rule for your pet, we know what really goes on when you’re not home! Prevent sofas from ge‰ing covered in fur (and allergens!) by covering them with washable sheets.

• Invest in a vacuum cleaner with extra-strong suction, good brush action and a quality filter that cleans upholstery and floors.

• Add a lint roller to your cleaning caddy, plus compostable wipes such as DOG wipes by Dr Lisa for the body, paws and even bu‰!

Neutralise odours with bicarbonate of soda. Sprinkle it on rugs, carpets and even upholstery before vacuuming.

• Regularly wash pet beds, toys and leads, le‰ing them dry in the sun to help kill bad odours.

• For rainy days, keep a pet paw cleaner/washer by the front door to rinse muddy paws.

• Keep your pet’s nails trimmed and use small rugs that can be put through the wash.

• Stay on track of your pet’s flea control to avoid an infestation!

• For toileting accidents, apply a stain and odour remover formulated for pet messes. Smellbgone absorbs and destroys pet poo and urine odours on various surfaces in and out of the home.
