FIND THE PERFECT STYLIST

The perfect cut starts with the perfect pro. Meet your match with these simple tips.

SCOUT IT OUT Spot a woman at the shops with amazing hair? Ask for a referral. If her hair's texture is like yours, it’s an encouraging sign the stylist is worth seeing.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK Once you have a few salon names, go online and see what clients say about the stylists. There may also be Instagram pages you can view. Then, rather than jumping right into a cut, set up a consultation to see if you feel comfortable with your chosen stylist. Use the time to talk about your hair history, budget and how much time you have for styling. Many salons do this for free but some may charge a small fee.

Layered Hair is snipped at different lengths. Layers can be long (below the jawline), short (choppy) or graduated (stacked on top of each other).
