Patch of pumpkin fun

The quaint Queensland town of Goomeri, 253km north of Brisbane, is set to come alive with pumpkin fun from 27-30 May with its 25th Pumpkin Festival. Highlighted by the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll down Policeman’s Hill, the family festival includes contests for the largest pumpkin, pumpkin shot-put and best-decorated pumpkin, plus whip cracking, cooking shows, stalls, entertainers and a pumpkin pageant.
